HAIR LOSS (MALE AND FEMALE)

Hair loss is not a single gender or age-specific condition – it can affect anyone. Hair has a normal growth cycle during which hair grows, rests and eventually falls out starting the process all over again. This cycle can be affected by many conditions and/or traumas such as hormone imbalance, major surgery, pregnancy or medications. Hair loss can also be an indicator of disease such as fungal infection of the scalp or more serious conditions such as diabetes or lupus. For this reason, treating excessive hair loss begins with a correct diagnosis.
